Delegate registration for the Achieving Excellence Together 2018 (#AET18) conference is now open.
This year's conference, to be held on June 19 and 20 at Beanfield Centre, Exhibition Place, Toronto, will offer unprecedented knowledge-sharing, professional-development and networking opportunities.
About 60 one-hour concurrent learning sessions—backed by research and exploring the latest topics and trends across the continuum of care—will be held. This year's program also includes a number of engaging panel discussions, more than 34 multimedia e-poster presentations, and 11 "Ted-style" talks on our Exhibit Hall Stage. Dozens of exhibitors, including key health care stakeholders and providers, will also host booths in the main Exhibit Hall.
With more than 1,200 delegates expected to attend, Achieving Excellence Together has become one of the most important health care conferences of its kind in Canada. Delegates will leave the event inspired to effect change and continuous quality improvement at the local and system levels.
This year's exciting lineup of world-renowned keynote speakers includes:
- Neil Jordan, General Manager, Worldwide Health, at Microsoft, a leading international expert on the future of health care technology;
- Timothy Caulfield, author of two national bestsellers, The Cure for Everything: Untangling the Twisted Messages about Health, Fitness and Happiness (Penguin 2012) and Is Gwyneth Paltrow Wrong About Everything? When Celebrity Culture and Science Clash (Penguin 2015), professor in the Faculty of Law and the School of Public Health at the University of Alberta and Research Director of the Health Law Institute; and
- Michael Burns, CEO of the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, founder of the True Patriot Love Foundation and former CEO of Invictus Games Toronto 2017.
A highlight of this year's conference will be the annual Awards for Excellence, which will celebrate outstanding achievements across Ontario in health system transformation, engagement and integration at a special luncheon on June 20.
Delegate spaces are limited, so we encourage you to register and select your sessions without delay. There is no charge to attend the conference. Delegates are responsible, however, for arranging their own travel and accommodation, if required.
