On behalf of Ontario's 14 Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs), Health Shared Services Ontario (HSSOntario) coordinates a centralized provincial prequalification and qualification process for home and community care service provider organizations.
Update: Home Care Medical Supplies and Equipment Procurement Modernization
On April 25, 2019 the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care announced that, as agencies of the Government of Ontario, LHINs will procure home and community care medical supplies and equipment using the Ontario Public Sector (OPS) Procurement Directive. As such, beginning July 1, 2019, all competitive procurement processes (including requests for proposals and requests for bids) will follow the OPS Procurement Directive with documents posted on Ontario’s Tender Portal, BravoSolution.
SERVICE PROVIDER PREQUALIFICATION
Prequalification for fiscal year 2019-2020 will commence in June 2019.
HSSOntario posts a Request for Prequalification annually on OntarioTenders.BravoSolution.com and publishes the resulting list of successful applicants.
All service providers who provide home care or medical equipment and related supplies must first complete a prequalification process. The prequalification process is for new service providers and service providers who may have completed prequalification in the past, but do not have a current contract with a Local Health Integration Network.
See the current list of prequalified service providers (PDF).
RENEWAL OF QUALIFIED STATUS
HSSOntario posts a Request for Qualification annually on OntarioTenders.BravoSolution.com to renew the qualified status for service providers that currently hold LHIN contracts. It is important that qualified service providers update their contact information whenever it changes by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
