LHIN Home Care Service Provider Prequalification and Qualification

On behalf of Ontario's 14 Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs), Health Shared Services Ontario (HSSOntario) coordinates a centralized provincial prequalification and qualification process for home and community care service provider organizations.

Update: Home Care Medical Supplies and Equipment Procurement Modernization

On April 25, 2019 the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care announced that, as agencies of the Government of Ontario, LHINs will procure home and community care medical supplies and equipment using the Ontario Public Sector (OPS) Procurement Directive. As such, beginning July 1, 2019, all competitive procurement processes (including requests for proposals and requests for bids) will follow the OPS Procurement Directive with documents posted on Ontario’s Tender Portal, BravoSolution.

Health Shared Services Ontario, on behalf of the Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs), administrates the annual Prequalification Process (“Prequalification”) for prospective service providers interested in providing Nursing Services, Personal Support Services, and Therapy Services for home care patients. Only prequalified service provider organizations are eligible to submit proposals for LHIN procurements.

The planning of Prequalification for fiscal year 2020-2021 is in progress.

HSSOntario posts a Request for Prequalification annually on Jaggaer Ontario Tenders Portal  and publishes the resulting list of successful applicants.

See the current list of prequalified service providers (PDF).

HSSOntario posts a Request for Qualification annually on Jaggaer Ontario Tenders Portal to renew the qualified status for service providers that currently hold LHIN contracts. It is important that qualified service providers update their contact information whenever it changes by emailing
